Life beyond death...

...is possible only because of the death of Jesus on the cross. Without that, eternal death –everlasting, never-ending oblivion–would be our certain destiny.


You may know someone who believes that we possess life within ourselves – life that somehow continues after our lungs stop pumping air and our hearts stop pumping blood. They may base their hope of life after death on their belief that they have an immortal soul that lives on in another form.


But there is really only one basis for hoping for life after death: the grace of God. "For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23).
